Our Partner Provides Support
The Eternal Busker is proud to have The Unison Fund as our partner. Unison will distribute the funds raised to members of the Canadian music community dealing with cancer and cancer recovery.
The Unison Fund was created by the Canadian music industry, for the Canadian music industry, providing counselling and emergency financial support to the music community in times of hardship.
Many members of the music community do not have access to the services and benefits required in the case of an unforeseen emergency or illness. Unison provides a lifeline in times of crisis to maintain the health of the community and keep the music going. For over a decade Unison has been committed to helping producers, engineers, singers/songwriters, musicians, production crews, and thousands more through their counselling services and financial support programs.
In the last year Unison disbursed financial support to over 7,000 Canadian music workers through the Live Music Workers Fund with funding provided by the Canadian Department of Heritage. In 2022, Unison’s membership increase by over 600%, and the need from the music community for financial support and mental health care services continues to grow.
